What will the additions & renovations at
Lorena Elementary potentially look like?
Based on demographic reports that showed anticipated capacity issues at both the Primary and Elementary Schools, the facilities planning committee recommended the elementary school project included in the bond program (i.e., renovating the existing elementary school as well as a 220-student addition).
This project is similar in scope (not size) to Castleberry ISD’s Irma Marsh Middle School:
Irma Marsh MS was built in 1955
Approximately 120,000 square feet underwent renovations
Approximately 47,000 square feet of new facility was added
The facility opened in the Fall of 2020
